  • When a faulty occurs in the power system 
  • The Fault is sensed by a CT(Current Transformer) then,
  • CT sends a signal to a protective Relay and 
  • Protective Relay gives a tripping  command to CB(Circuit Breaker)
  • Fault is cleared by isolating the faulty part of the network as quickly as possible.
